Team Cancer Sucks
Graphic Design
After a couple of years of training and fundraising with Team in Training/Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, AJ Jabonero presented an idea to his triathlon buddies that would continue utilizing the efforts of endurance racing to raise funds for the fight against cancer but in a more direct manner that eliminated unnecessary administrative costs.
In 2013, Team Cancer Sucks was formed. As a part of this team and living inspired by AJ's legacy (RIP, 2015), I continue to provide pro bono support through production-ready marketing assets, among other things that promote the mission.
For the creative direction, the premise is to be easily noticed when members are out and about training or racing. And AJ was that kind of guy-bold and influential. So it became obvious that hot pink had to be a primary color, and designs thereafter have to communicate the same 'electrifying' spirit.
